Foscam products may be updated as time progresses during the lifespan of the production cycle of a specific model. To track these differences model numbers will be revised with revision numbers assigned to the model number. For example, the Foscam R2 currently has three different revisions that have occurred since the unit was initially manufactured.  Revisions can be as small as the version of firmware that is installed on a product. (Firmware updates released to the public.) Method 1: Confirm the version revision of the camera by identifying it via the labels located on the bottom or side of the camera.
 

This label indicates this model is a FI9831P V2

 

This shows the camera is R2 V3.


Method 2: Log into the camera with a web browser and navigate to Settings → Status → Device Information. This will open a Window confirming the version revision of the Foscam Product.

Method 3: Log in to the camera via the Foscam App and navigate to Settings → Basic Information
